Summer Camp: Junior Racketeers (Ages 8-10)
This camp is designed for kids who are ready to take their ping pong skills to the next level. With a focus on more advanced coordination, footwork, and strategy, this program combines skill-building with fun, competitive activities.
1. Skill Development:
Coordination & Ball Control:
Bouncing the ball on both sides of the paddle with rotation.
Balancing the ball on the edge of the paddle.
Practicing topspin serves with directional accuracy.
Basic Strokes & Footwork:
Forehand and backhand strokes with improved consistency.
Pivot footwork and combining movement with hitting.
Learning to recognize and attack high balls with controlled power.
Practicing quick recovery and positioning after an attack.
2. Competitive & Team Activities:
Team racing challenges involving paddles and balls.
Strategic games focusing on tactics and decision-making.
3. Physical Fitness & Evaluation:
Push-ups, sit-ups, jumping jacks, and other physical exercises to build core strength and endurance.
Exercises designed to improve reaction time and footwork speed.
